Facelift and Neck Lift with Upper Blepharoplasty

This patient came to us interested to restore her youthful appearance. She noticed changes in her face that made her look older than her actual age, such as skin laxity under her chin and tired-looking eyes that contributed to a overall fatigued appearance. An individualized surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift along with upper blepharoplasty.

The surgical procedure was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation. The incisions were carefully placed around the ears and behind the hairline, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. During the procedure, the underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened, effectively removing excess skin and establishing facial contour. Upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) was performed to remove sagging skin from the upper eyelids.

The facelift and neck lift procedure resulted in a significant facial rejuvenation for this patient, removing sagging neck skin and restoring a smooth, defined jawline. Note a significant elevation of the mid-face (upper cheek area) that was achieved with a SMAS facelift. The upper blepharoplasty procedure made the eyes look larger and more open for an overall more revitalized appearance.
