Facelift and Neck Lift

This patient presented to us seeking facial rejuvenation for signs of aging, especially in the lower face. She was mostly concerned with the sagging skin of the cheeks that was causing deep lines on the sides of the mouth. Loss of neck contour was also contributing to the appearance of age. She wanted to look overall more youthful and vibrant. 

A comprehensive surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift. The surgery was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation to ensure the comfort of the patient throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears and behind the hairline. For the neck lift, an incision was placed in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened.

For this patient, the facelift and neck lift procedure was able to achieve an aesthetically pleasing contour of the face and neck. The lower part of the face looks smooth, lifted and defined. The result is a natural-looking, yet significant rejuvenation.
