Facelift and Neck Lift with Upper Blepharoplasty

This patient presented to us interested to reverse visible signs of aging in her lower face and to regain a more youthful, refreshed appearance. She was particularly unhappy with the sagging, wrinkled skin under her chin and neck area and developing jowls. She also felt that her dropping eyelids made her look tired and contributed to an overall aging appearance.

A custom-tailored surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift along with upper blepharoplasty. The surgery was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess skin in the neck was removed. Upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) helped remove sagging skin from the upper eyelids.

For this patient, a facelift and neck lift was able to achieve a significant facial rejuvenation, restoring youthful contour of the neck and jawline and removing loose skin under the chin. Note how the procedure also smoothed out and improved the look of deep wrinkles and lines around the mouth. Upper blepharoplasty made the eyes look more open and awake for an overall revitalized appearance.
