Mini Facelift and Fat Grafting

This patient came to us seeking to restore her youthful appearance. She felt she started to develop early signs of facial aging that made her look older than her actual age. Her primary concerns were loss of facial volume and skin laxity in the lower part of the face. A personalized surgical plan for this patient included a mini facelift combined with fat grafting.

The surgical procedure was performed using local anesthesia with mild sedation in our NYC office. The incisions were carefully and discreetly placed curving around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was then lifted and tightened. To complement the mini facelift, a fat grafting procedure was also done to help restore facial volume loss and further rejuvenate the face.

The result of the combined mini facelift and fat grafting procedures is a smooth, defined jawline and pleasing cheek contour for this patient. Replenishing lost facial volume and filling in wrinkles and lines in the lower face gave her an overall more revitalized appearance. She still looks like herself, but more youthful and refreshed.
