This male patient came to see us with concerns of facial aging. His main complaints were with the appearance of his neck. He has developed excessive fullness under the chin and wanted to regain a more sculpted jawline and defined profile. He felt he was finally ready for a long-lasting, surgical solution to correct these aging changes.

A facelift and neck lift was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation to ensure the comfort of the patient throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears and behind the hairline. For the neck lift, an incision was placed in the skin crease under the chin. The deep layers of facial tissue, underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess fat and loose skin was removed.

The facelift and neck lift surgery was able to achieve a significant, yet natural-looking transformation for this patient. The neck contour was restored and excessive skin laxity under the chin eliminated. The jawline looks more defined, contributing to an overall youthful and refreshed appearance.
