This patient came to us seeking to improve the look of her sagging neck skin and jowls. Her main complaint was the facial aging in the lower part of the face that made her appear older than her actual age. She wanted to look more youthful and revitalized. Full cheeks and good skin quality made her an excellent candidate for facial rejuvenation.

A facelift and neck lift was performed on this patient in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation. The incisions were carefully and discreetly placed around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened. Excess fat and skin in the neck was removed.

For this patient, the facelift and neck lift procedure resulted in significant rejuvenation, restoring contour of the neck and jawline and getting rid of noticeable fullness under the chin. Her profile also looks notably more sculpted and defined.
