This patient came to see us seeking to help reverse visible signs of aging in her lower face. She was especially unhappy with laxity under her chin and neck area, jowls and sagging skin of the cheeks. She felt she was finally ready for a long-lasting, surgical solution to correct these aging changes.

An extensive facelift and neck lift was performed on this patient in our NYC office. Local anesthesia with mild sedation was administered to ensure her comfort throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess skin in the neck was removed.

For this patient, a facelift and neck lift procedure was able to achieve a significant facial rejuvenation, restoring youthful contour of the neck and jawline and elevating the cheeks. The results looked natural, not “overly done” and made her appear revitalized.
