This patient presented to us seeking facial rejuvenation for advanced signs of aging, especially in the lower face and neck areas. She has developed prominent jowls, fullness under the chin and significant sagging in the neck. She was also unhappy with the formation of wrinkles and lines around her eyes. These noticeable facial changes made her appear much older than her actual age.

A comprehensive surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift in conjunction with upper and lower blepharoplasty. The surgery was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia to ensure the comfort of the patient throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed around the ears and behind the hairline. For the neck lift, an incision was placed in the skin crease under the chin. The deep layers of facial tissue, underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess fat and loose skin was removed. Upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) helped eliminate wrinkles and sagging skin around the eyes.

For this patient, the result of the facelift and neck lift procedure is an aesthetically pleasing contour of the face and neck. The lower part of the face looks smooth, lifted and defined. The upper and lower blepharoplasty made the eyes look more youthful and awake. The result is a natural-looking, yet significant rejuvenation.
