This patient presented to us interested to improve the look of her sagging neck skin and jowls. Her main concern was the facial aging in the lower part of the face that made her appear older than her actual age. She wanted to regain a youthful, refreshed appearance. Her good skin quality and full cheeks made her an excellent candidate for facial rejuvenation.

A facelift and neck lift was performed on this patient in our NYC office. Local anesthesia with mild sedation was administered to ensure her comfort throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened. Excess fat and skin in the neck was removed.

For this patient, the facelift and neck lift procedure resulted in significant rejuvenation, restoring contour of the neck and jawline and getting rid of noticeable jowling. The cheeks looked smoother and more elevated. The result is a natural-looking, youthful transformation.
