This patient came to see us interested to reverse visible signs of aging in her lower face. She has developed significant jowls, perioral rhytids, excess fat and skin laxity in the neck. She felt she was finally ready for a long-lasting, surgical solution to correct these aging changes.

A comprehensive surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift. The surgery was performed on this patient in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation to ensure her comfort throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess skin in the neck was removed.

For this patient, a facelift and neck lift procedure was able to achieve an effective facial rejuvenation, restoring defined contour of the neck and jawline. The elevation of the mid-face also significantly contributed to a more youthful look. The outcome is a natural, revitalized appearance she was hoping for.
