This patient came to us seeking facial rejuvenation for advanced signs of aging. She has developed prominent jowls, fullness under the chin and significant sagging in the neck. She was also unhappy with the formation of bags and wrinkles around her eye area. These noticeable facial changes made her appear much older than her actual age.

A facelift and neck lift along with upper and lower blepharoplasty was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation. The incisions were discreetly placed around the ears and behind the hairline. For the neck lift, an incision was placed in the skin crease under the chin. The deep layers of facial tissue, underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess fat and loose skin was removed. Upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) helped get rid of wrinkles and sagging skin around the eyes.

For this patient, the result of the facelift and neck lift procedure is an aesthetically pleasing contour of the face and neck. The lower part of the face looks lifted and defined. The upper and lower blepharoplasty made the eyes look more revitalized and awake. The result is a natural-looking, youthful rejuvenation.
