Facelift and Neck Lift Case #8

This patient presented to us looking to address her facial aging concerns. Her main complaints were laxity in the neck area, visible jowling, and drooping eyelids. She also wanted to regain a more defined and lifted facial profile to feel more comfortable and confident with her appearance.

An individualized surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift along with upper blepharoplasty. The surgery was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation to ensure her comfort throughout the procedure. The incisions were discreetly placed around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened, establishing a youthful contour. Upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) helped remove sagging skin from the upper eyelids.

As a result of the facelift and neck lift, facial contour and definition was restored and excess skin in the neck was removed. By elevating the mid-face, the cheeks were lifted and gave this patient’s face a more youthful appearance. Upper blepharoplasty made the eyes look more open, awake and rejuvenated.
