Facelift and Neck Lift Case #85

This patient presented to us seeking facial rejuvenation for extensive skin laxity of the face and neck. She has developed prominent jowls, fullness under the chin and significant sagging in the neck. These noticeable facial changes made her appear much older than her actual age.

A custom-tailored surgical plan for this patient included an extended facelift and neck lift. The surgery was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation to ensure the comfort of the patient throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears and behind the hairline. For the neck lift, an incision was placed in the skin crease under the chin. The deep layers of facial tissue, underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess fat and loose skin was removed.

For this patient, the facelift and neck lift procedure was able to achieve an aesthetically pleasing contour of the neck and a restored jawline. The lower part of the face looks smooth, lifted and defined. The result is a natural-looking, youthful rejuvenation.
