This patient came to us seeking to restore her youthful appearance. She felt she started to develop signs of facial aging that made her look older than her actual age. Her primary concerns were sagging cheeks, significant jowls, and neck skin laxity. She also felt that her eyes looked tired and contributed to an overall aging appearance.

An individualized surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift along with upper blepharoplasty. The surgical procedure was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation. The incisions were carefully placed around the ears and behind the hairline, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened, establishing facial contour and removing excess skin. Upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) was performed to remove sagging skin from the upper eyelids.

The facelift and neck lift procedure achieved significant facial rejuvenation for this patient, elevating the mid-face, removing sagging neck skin and getting rid of jowls to restore a smooth, defined jawline. The upper blepharoplasty procedure made the eyes look larger and youthful for an overall more revitalized appearance.
