Facelift and Neck Lift

This patient came to see us seeking to help reverse visible signs of aging in her lower face. She was especially unhappy with the sagging, wrinkled skin under her chin and neck area and developing jowls. She wanted to look overall more youthful and refreshed. A personalized surgical plan was developed after a thorough evaluation of the patient's facial features, skin texture and elasticity, and rejuvenation goals.

A facelift and neck lift was performed on this patient in our NYC office. Local anesthesia with mild sedation was administered to ensure her comfort throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and excess skin in the neck was removed.

For this patient, a facelift and neck lift was able to achieve a significant facial rejuvenation, restoring youthful contour of the neck and jawline and removing loose skin under the chin. Note how the procedure also smoothed out and improved the look of deep wrinkles and lines around the mouth.
