This male patient came to see us seeking help to reverse visible aging changes in his lower face. His primary concerns were jowls, loss of jawline definition and excessive fullness under the chin. A custom-tailored surgical plan for this patient included a facelift and neck lift with attention to reducing excess fat in the neck and under the chin.

The surgery was performed in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation to ensure the comfort of the patient throughout the procedure. The incisions were discreetly placed curving around the ears and behind the hairline. For the neck lift, an incision was placed in the skin crease under the chin. The deep layers of facial tissue, underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened and loose skin and excess fat was removed.

For this patient, the facelift and neck lift surgery was able to restore an aesthetically pleasing neck contour. The jawline looks smoother and more defined. The results are a significant, natural-looking rejuvenation, giving the patient the refreshed, youthful look he was seeking.
