Facelift with Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty

This patient came to us seeking facial rejuvenation for noticeable jowling and sagging cheeks. Her main complaint was the facial aging in the lower part of the face that made her appear older than she actually was. In addition, the eyelids appeared droopy which further contributed to an overall fatigued look. 

A facelift along with upper and lower blepharoplasty was performed on this patient in our NYC office using local anesthesia with mild sedation. The incisions were carefully and discreetly placed around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened. Upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) was performed to remove sagging skin from the upper eyelids; lower blepharoplasty helped get rid of wrinkled skin of the lower eyelids.   

The outcome of the facelift procedure for this patient is an aesthetically pleasing facial contour. Her profile also looks notably more sculpted and defined. Note the improvement of the skin quality as a result of the facelift in her postoperative photos. The upper and lower blepharoplasty made the patient's eyes appear more youthful.
