Facelift and Neck Lift

This patient presented to us seeking to improve the look of the sagging skin under her chin and jowls. Her main concern was the facial aging in the lower part of the face that made her appear older than she actually was. She wanted to regain a youthful, refreshed appearance. Her good skin quality made her an excellent candidate for facial rejuvenation.

A facelift and neck lift was performed on this patient in our NYC office. Local anesthesia with mild sedation was administered to ensure her comfort throughout the procedure. The incisions were carefully placed curving around the ears, extending into the hairline behind the ears, as well as in the skin crease under the chin. The underlying muscle (or SMAS) was lifted and tightened. Excess fat and skin in the neck was removed.

For this patient, the facelift and neck lift procedure resulted in significant rejuvenation, restoring contour of the neck and jawline and getting rid of noticeable jowling. The cheeks look smoother and more elevated. The outcome is a natural-looking, youthful transformation.
